STG Initiatives


As part of the Green Initiative of the school, Sanskriti The Gurukul, has installed a 50KW solar power plant to help reduce the usage of fossil fuels and have clean energy for the School. The school also took the initiative towards a cleaner environment and maintenance of healthier water bodies and thus established its own Sewage Treatment Plant.


On the occasion of World Biodiversity Day, Dr.(Mrs.) Purnima Devi Barman,  Green Oscar Awardee, initiated a collaboration with Sanskriti The Gurukul for her future projects and presented a statue of an endangered bird namely Greater Adjutant Stork “Hargilla” to the school and declared Sanskriti The Gurukul as a HARGILLA CONSERVATION CENTRE.


On 17th December 2018, Sanskriti The Gurukul collaborated with the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Kolkata, for a session on CLIMATE CHANGE. It was a great learning experience for the students and we were honoured by the presence of Mr. Jurgen Thomas Schrod, the Deputy Consul General.


STG  has been selected to establish an Atal Tinkering Lab(ATL) by the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Govt. of India. ATL lab would teach students essential 21st-century skills which will help them in developing their professional and personal skills.


Clap Talk is a global online platform through which global travellers visit schools and talk about their life, country, and culture with the students. on 1st December,2018, Sanskriti the Gurukul, welcomed Lucy Plummer, a traveller, writer and youth worker from the UK to addressed the students of Study Centre IX and XI.
